Advocacy Action

Eastern Washington Legislative Conference

Watch this page for postings on Legislative Conference 2006!

Held in January this conference brings together hundreds of people of faith to examine key legislative issues for the current legislative session, to attend presentations by local advocacy groups, and to reflect on the issues through performances using the arts.

Advocacy trainings and policy briefings provide information on state and federal legislation impacting low-income and vulnerable communities. Workshops include such issues as hunger, health care, living wages, mental health, tax fairness, domestic violence, genocide in Darfur, Sudan, environmental justice.

Our goal is to become a strong religious voice which legislators recognize and respect for our consistent non-partisan advocacy to end poverty and discrimination.
