Member Assembly and Ethnic Potluck
2006!
The Annual Member Assembly is a
festive gathering of members, delegates
and people interested in the programs
of the Interfaith Council. At the
Assembly, directors are appointed
to the Board, reports of the affairs
of the Interfaith Council are made,
and concerns of the members are
considered. All Assembly decisions
are made by consensus.
The First Annual Assembly, June
7, 2005 was great fun, with delicious
food and delightful, friendly conversation.
It was an enjoyable reunion of the
many people who have participated
in, planned and promoted Interfaith
Council Programs since its inception.
A highlight was the opportunity
to learn, ever so briefly, about
many faith traditions:
Bahá’í - Steve
Beaulieu & Nan Roberts
Hindu - Prakash Bhuta
Jewish - Elliot Fabric
Buddhist - Steve Rorie
Christian - Rev Michael “Redhawk”
Rice-Sauer
Muslim - Shagufta Saiyed
Christian - Ophelia Aurajo
Sufi - Elnour Hamad
Membership in the Interfaith Council
is open to individuals, faith communities,
non-profit organizations, agencies
and businesses. Members appoint
delegates to represent them at the
Annual Member Assembly. Delegates
are responsible for final approval
of the recommended slate for the
Board of Directors and for communicating
the work of the Interfaith Council
to their group.

a member.
